Other than perhaps it made us want to get up and go grab ourselves a snack I don't think sharing your eating habits with all of us turned anyone away Mark. Not sure but I'm thinking Flo might be having computer issues again as she's mentioned she's had them recently, and I'm not sure where the others are.

...well, we have a small but online little family, here, and by and large it has remained (unlike some boards which shall remain nameless) peaceful. I do check in, daily (mostly), even if I don't always post. On a potentially "heavier" note, dinner today was an entire bag of Peanut Butter M&M's. You'd think I was 600 pounds.

600 lbs! Where can I get a bag of Peanut Butter M&M's that size? Lol! It's true, our forum is small in the number of active members but that's okay. Many forums are like that especially these days with most people spending the majority of their time online on Facebook & Twitter. The way I look at it, it's not how many there are participating but who we are and how we are with each other when we participate that makes this forum so nice to belong to.

No worries Flo. I've been here everyday and yet still I've managed to neglect the Daily Mass Readings. Good to see you back though! Now if only we can figure out a way to get CartoonistGuy to share some of those M&M's with us we'll be all set.

As long as they are the M&M's with the peanuts I'm there!

...I can eat the peanut M&M's, but the peanut "BUTTER" M&M's literally make me drool. I put a handful in my mouth, to start with, to let them melt and just to enjoy that candy shell taste...and to anticipate the deliciousness to come. Then, I lose patience, and chomp! ...But.....last night I heard about a guy I know who had two heart attacks this year, and he's only 45! They said eating junk caught up with him. I ate a whole bag of PB M&Ms, two days ago, and an entire bag of Reeses yesterday (on the way home from getting a prescription). And so, I'm going sugar free. I'm already in withdrawal. I went sugar free in the 80's, and even apple sauce became too sweet for me. I just have to get through this nasty, nasty withdrawal period. ...I digress. Nice to see you back, Flo. Thanks to all who post, especially daily postings...which are appreciated.

I have concerns also Mark about having a heart attack because of my poor eating habits and of course some other bad habits. Though I'm getting better with it I tend to over salt a lot of my food. I did cut black pepper pretty much out of my diet but still need to cut down some more on the salt. I rarely drink alcohol anymore because even one drink now can give me a really bad headache which it's good that I've pretty much stopped because there was a time in my life when I drank daily and often excessively. But I'm also a smoker and to date haven't found a way to quit that works for me. I think when it comes to quitting smoking though just like any addiction it's not so much about what methods can work and what can't as much as it's about being willing to try and make it a priority to not give in. Just haven't got there yet with the smoking. My father had two minor heart attacks in his forties and I'm 49 right now but have never had one. So it is on my mind from time to time.

...I feel for you, John. I bought a fudge brownie mix (to eat with just water stirred in, as batter) and, this was on the way home after a day of son being sick, wife getting sick, nephew with many troubles, other family members with issues, and no job and money worries. As I drove home, I kept thinking, "What if this binge is the final straw, and my son loses his daddy?" I ate a nutrition bar, instead. OF course then, I get a million sudden texts from a relative in trouble. On top of my worry, I loath texting. Well, onward we go, eh?
