I must say it's a very attractive background.
Michael is appropriate because that's my confirmation name, although I certainly wouldn't call myself St. Michael. I'm not among the angels yet. I'm still among the dead. If you know what I mean.
I'm finding in later life that St. Michael might have been very appropriate. I live in a city where the Roman Catholic Church is on the decline and where Islam is rapidly growing. I think that's very sad really. One of the things I have come to realise is that knowing the truth about Christ is a great privilege that isn't a right. Many pass through this life who don't get to hear about him.
I am in the process of putting a forum together for the Catholics who live in this City. This is a time when we are seeing a falling away. I think we need to find out more about the faith and encourage each other and build each other up.
